Description |
The new Naga Hammadi Barrage & Hydropower Plant is a multipurpose project including a 330m long dam to replace a structure built in the early 1990s and produce 64 MW through the associated hydropower plant. This involves diverting the path of the Nile. The scope covers the following works: River diversion, protection of river channel, right bank closure dike, sluice way, power house, double navigation lock (217m each way), service building and public road bridge. |
