Orascom Construction Hosts Event in Italy to Commemorate Power Generation Projects Under Construction in Egypt

Orascom Construction and its Italian joint venture, Imagro Construction Srl, hosted an event in Milan, Italy welcoming over 200 guests from Italian and European suppliers and subcontractors involved in the construction of Burullus, New Capital, Assiut and West Damietta power plants under construction in Egypt. 

The event, which took place on Wednesday 29 June 2016, highlighted the cooperation among the parties involved and featured guest speakers including representatives from SACE, HSBC, BNP Paribas and several key suppliers.

Burullus and New Capital power plants will be the largest natural gas-fired combined cycle power plants in the world once complete. In addition, Assiut and West Damietta power plants are currently being converted into combined cycle power plants following construction of the initial simple cycle phase by an Orascom Construction consortium in record timing.
