The Suez Canal Container Terminal 2 (SCCT2) project at East Port Said was successfully completed on schedule, achieving more than 15 million safe man-hours while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and execution.

As the main contractor, Orascom Construction delivered a fully standalone container terminal and executed a 955-meter berth expansion, significantly increasing the port’s capacity and operational efficiency. The works were carried out alongside the existing SCCT facilities, ensuring uninterrupted terminal operations throughout construction.

SCCT2 serves as a key hub for global shipping and is capable of accommodating A.P. Moller–Maersk’s largest container vessels.
