The New Delta Wastewater Treatment Plant is one of the largest wastewater treatment facilities in the world, with a treatment capacity of 7.5 million m³ per day. Executed by Orascom Construction in a joint venture, the facility plays a critical role in supporting Egypt’s sustainable water infrastructure and resource management.

The plant treats and reuses wastewater to irrigate approximately 500,000 feddans of agricultural land, helping to expand agricultural production while reducing pressure on freshwater resources.

The New Delta Wastewater Treatment Plant further reinforces Orascom Construction’s leadership in water infrastructure, building on its extensive portfolio of water supply, wastewater treatment, and desalination projects across the region.
